The project was to deliver and install a driven conveyor system with control, in to a large UK retailer’s parts and accessories Distribution Centre. It was required to transfer parcels from a number of packing benches to a final processing area, within their new home delivery dept.
The line was specified and tested for various parcel types including poly bags, mailing bags, envelopes, twist wraps, cartons and totes etc..
6 weeks from receipt of contract a 12 metre long driven belt conveyor was delivered, installed and commissioned with hand over training. The electrical package including variable speed for the belt and control and stop / start control via a parcel detection photo-cell.
